Zoey Punches the future in the Dick is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the second chapter in Zoey Ashe’s novel series which is written by David Wong. It is the former pen name of Jason Pargin. He is an American writer of humor and science fiction novels. He has also worked earlier as the executive editor of the Cracked website. The audio narration of the novel is done by Elizabeth Evans. This performance wasn’t that good. She struggled with her tone and tempo and at times made the characters sound awful. In the futuristic Tabula Ra$a city, Zoey Ashe was more like a fish that was so out of the water that it achieved the orbit.

After inheriting a huge criminal empire, she discovered herself under grave threat coming from all sides. The rogue’s gallery of enemies assumed that they were able to smell their weakness.

On the eve of the most ridiculous and lavish Halloween night of the world, a box arrived at the doorstep of Zoey. He was shocked to learn that it had some disemboweled corpse. She went into even deeper shock when that corpse rose and goes into a rampage right through the house. The corpse then publically spoke on an electronic device and accused Zoey of its murder. The situation looked terrible ahead for Zoey. The book isn’t that good with its story. If you have tried other books from David Wong then you will find the subject title to be his worst one. Even worse, the poor narration made it further annoying to the listeners.
