Zenith Academy

Zenith Academy is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the opening chapter of the Zenith Academy novel series which is written by Cassius Lange. The author tried his pen on LitRPG novels and science fiction and fantasies. He did a good job with novels such as Manaborn 1 and Wolfpack. The audio narration of Zenith Academy is beautifully done by Jessica Threet and Gabriel Michael. I am James and my mother was the only person to call me by my name. To all others, I was just JD who was a struggling artist. I was working to the bone to get a shot with one of the largest companies of comic books.

Oh yes, I work nights only. I manage a dive known as the Hudson’s Bar and grill. Things were pretty much disappointing and boring. But, it all changed on one fateful night. There was an old woman who appeared in a booth while I was just wrapping up for the night. It was rude but not so weird. She was all dressed up in a kimono and was having a sword by her lap. That was the only weird thing that I noticed.

She turned out to be a mistress of the magical academy. She was looking for me. Only with her few violent swings with the sword, does she make it certain that I do not have my job anymore. Then, I had no other choice but to follow her into a glowing, creepy portal.

This is a good novel with excellent prose. There are many friendly characters introduced here who have unique and pleasing personalities. You wouldn’t find any empty vessel or blank slate kind of characters.
