When Guinevere Beck, an aspiring writer stepped into the bookshop where Joe worked, he was smitten right away. Beck was absolutely everything that Joe ever wanted to have. She was tough, charming, and razor-smart with sexy looks. Joe needed her and he wouldn’t stop at anything to do so. Just she started to insinuate himself within her life with her phone, her email, and her friendship then she just couldn’t resist her feeling at all for a guy who appeared to be custom-made for her. Se when Benjo, her boyfriend disappeared all of a sudden then Joe and Bell fell into an intense affair But there was a lot more the Beck than her ideal façade and their obsession spiraled rapidly into a series of lethal consequences.

The book has violent action scenes which might not go well for all the listeners. The story was just fine overall, while the narration was perfect, and the best part of this book. Considering it to be the debut novel of Caroline Kepnes, she did a good job in that capacity.
