Wicked Deeds on a Winter’s Night: Immortals After Dark, Book 4

Kresley Cole does not talk too much about the romance which remains poetic or that kind of stuff. Cole talks about physical pleasures in detail and it is not love at first sight rather it is about the temptation at first sight which the author talks about. So much has been written in the past in the books such as A Hunger Like No Other: Immortals After Dark, Book 2 and No Rest for the Wicked: Immortals After Dark, Book 3 about these things. Still the writer finds new color in the same type of relationship through the use of attractive words. Robert Petkoff’s narration was an extra topping in this novel. Bowen MacRieve the male figure in the novel lost his wife after which he vowed never to touch any woman again.

The other women of the clan think of him as a cold and rigid person who was not for the ladies anymore. He started living in isolation and just locked himself up behind the four walls of his lonely house. Then Bowen sees Mari for the first time who happens to be his enemy. Mari has just lost her powers and was in need of help in a terrible way. Bowen suddenly becomes active and starts protecting her with his life. Mari first wanted to use this big warrior for her purpose but then she also finds her heart beating for this strange warrior. They were never made for one another but now they just cannot let each other go because of the bond which is strengthening after every passing day. In the end we see these two lovers ready to sacrifice everything for their love.
