When He Was Wicked

When He Was Wicked is a regency romance novel. It is the sixth entry in the Bridgertons novel series which is authored by Julia Quinn. She is an inspiring, bestselling author of historical and regency romance fiction novels. Many of her books have been translated into 41 global languages and a few of them have also appeared in the bestseller list of NYT. Romancing Mister Bridgerton is one of those novels. Moreover, The Duke and I is another fantastic book by the author.

The audio narration of When He Was Wicked is done by Rosalyn Landor. The narration is quite good and you will enjoy it. A moment so sharp, so tremendous, and breathtaking that one knows very well that life would never be the same again. In the case of Michael Stirling, the most infamous rake of London, that particular moment came the very first time when he set his eyes on Francesca Bridgerton.

After chasing women all his life, he took only just one look at Francesca Bridgerton and soon he fell for the lady. It was a wonder that he managed to remain standing. Unfortunately for Michael, the surname of Francesca however was to remain Bridgerton for only 36 hours longer. The occasion of their meetup was a super celebration of the wedding of his cousin.

But that was all about then. Michael now was the earl and Francesca was all free. But on the other side, she was still thinking about him and nothing other than his confidant and friend. Michael dared not to speak at all to her about his love. But things changed completely on one fateful night. All of that happened when she stepped unknowingly into his arms and the passion then proved much stronger than even the wickedest of all secrets.

When He Was Wicked is a good book in itself but in the series so far, it might be your least favorite. The story and its pacing could have been better. Still, it is recommended for regency romance followers.
