Viridian Gate Online: Inquisitor’s Foil is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the third book in The Illusionist Series. The author of this book is D.J. Bodden and James Hunter. These two have paired up several times in some exceptional science fiction and fantasy novels. One of their better ones is Viridian Gate Online: Dead Man’s Tide. D.J. Bodden has also written science fiction and fantasy as a sole author and one such novel is The Starborn Heir.

The audio narration of the subject novel is done by Daniel Thomas May. After listening to this performance, you will agree that it was heartfelt and easy to listen to the narration.

Alan Campbell was a novice spy and an illusionist. He just came out of one relationship but only to allow another woman to come into his life. She was the Lady Camilla who was from the Imperial Inquisition. He was quite close to broke and then left with no orders.

She wore plate armor around her heart and in the field as well. Is that lady the one who was ordered by the Plague Doctor? Or, will all his efforts to secure a job and woo her would leave him world-weary or dead? You need to listen to this full book to find the answer and an intriguing story.

If you compare this book with the first two chapters of the series then this third one will be no way near to those two. However, if you look at this novel individually and independently then you will find it quite satisfying. Still, in making the comparison with the first two books, this one has more drama and lesser game mechanics.
