Under the Ice Blades

Previous books of this series were really great and quite naturally if anyone has gone through those books then he will start this one without any investigation. There is action and a big portion that is full of twists in the story. Lindsay Buroker has designed the series in a way that there is something for everyone in this series.
Captain Astuawilda Kaika is a daring soldier who has the ability to perform anything but this didn’t mean that she liked to be someone who would train new cadets. She wanted some real action on the battlefield and when General Zirkander asks her to train the new cadets, she just gets frustrated because she thinks that it is a useless job. Moreover, the Cadets were apparently not capable to learn anything.

Later Kaika is told that it was actually the king who gave her the task and the general had nothing to do with it. So she begged the king to help her get rid of that troubled life. The king gave her a mission instead of this job and soon she realizes that the mission was actually quite tough to handle. Caitlin Davies narrates how the paths of the king and his General collide with the path of Kaika and in the end, we observe that all three of them are actually depending on each other.

Patterns in the Dark and The Blade’s Memory come with surprises of the same kind so don’t underestimate any of these books. The action and suspense will never end as long as the story is continuing. You don’t have to look quite deep as a listener because the author has explained everything quite well.
