To Sleep in a Sea of Stars is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is written by Christopher Paolini. He is an American novelist and a screenwriter. The Inheritance Cycle series is his best-known work. Among his best novels, Eragon and Eldest which are from the same The Inheritance Cycle novel series.

The audio narration of To Sleep in a Sea of Stars is done by Jennifer Hale. She did an outstanding performance bringing this story to life.

The story starts with the character of Kino Navarez who was also into dreams of having a life in some new worlds. But, she is awakened now with a horrible nightmare.

There was a routine survey mission going on over some uncolonized planet. It was there where Kira discovered an ancient relic. She was extremely delighted at first to find that. But, then elation turned quickly into terror. All that happened when the ancient dust surrounding all around her started to move all of a sudden.

As war initiated among the different planets, Kira was launched into an odyssey spanning all through the galaxy which was all about transformation and discovery. First contact was not what she had imagined. The events pushed her well beyond the limits of what exactly it means to be a human. The Earth and all its colonies in that situation were right at the edge of annihilation. Kira, herself might be the last hope of humanity there.

The book comes with an afterword which is read by Christopher Paolini himself. On top of that, there will also be a bonus conversation between the author and the narrator. Overall, this book is an excellent deal.
