The earth and its surroundings used to be a safer place but now it is not since the time when thirteen hundred gates were opened to the solar system around the galaxy. No one knows what is behind those doors but one thing is sure i.e this is not good news for the people of the world. The human empire has also spread in this time and they also want to take on the aliens who dare to enter their domain. The emperor of the human empire has his own dreams which he wants to fulfill at any cost.

Elvi Okoye is the one who is searching behind these doors because she wants to make use of these open doors. Although she knows that going behind these doors can be risky for her safety but she is taking that risk for the sake of humanity. She wants to look for the ultimate weapon that may help the human race to win the battle against the aliens.

Narrator Jefferson Mays starts narrating the character of Teresa after this introduction. The character is not like her father and she wants to deal with things in a different way. James S.A. Corey has blended all the characters very well. Although the characters have different natures they play a nice role as a team.

Leviathan Wakes and Babylon’s Ashes also tell us about different places and characters. The stories are never from the real world but they seem real all the time because the characters are portrayed in an exact pattern. The story never slips out of control because the writer keeps a firm grip on everything all the time.
