The Vine Witch

Chanceaux Valley was once famous all over the world for its vineyards and the best quality of wine which the valley used to produce. All this production was done under the supervision of the witches who were experts in the field and they never meant any harm to any human being. So the humans were also interested in the wine and they never thought that the witches were some kind of threat to them.

Elena Boureanu was the owner of the vineyard but she got cursed somehow and the land changed into ruin soon. The witch never knew who cursed her but she has come back finally after freeing herself from that miserable condition. Her powers have not yet reached the full potential and during this time she is searching for the enemy who did that to her and the vineyard.

Her vineyard is not her possession anymore because in her absence it has been given to Jean Paul who is a believer in science and does not believe in magic or witches. Elena’s vineyard is going down and instead of claiming it back she starts helping Jean and joins him as an assistant. The evil forces are still around and keeping a low profile appears to be the right thing for Elena.

The Glamourist and The Conjurer were unique stories by Luanne G. Smith but this one is close to a fairy tale. The witch does not mean any harm to anyone and she is not described as the one with a stinky personality rather she appeals to Jean when she approaches him. Susannah Jones’ glamorous voice makes Elena appear to be a fairy rather than a witch.
