Hugh prentice never had the patience for any dramatic females. If Lady Sarah has ever been acquainted with the words retiring or shy, she had tossed them out of the window long since. Moreover, even if Hugh enjoys her company, it wouldn’t matter much. A reckless duel had left that incredible mathematician with a broken leg and was unable to run or ride.

Sarah had never forgiven Hugh at all of the duels he fought three years ago. It was the one that forced her cousin into exile, while almost destroying her entire family. But if she could find some way to forgive him, it wouldn’t matter as such. She does not care a bit that his leg was far from perfect. It was more about his personality that she couldn’t abide by. But when the pair were forced to spend a week in the close company of each other, they found that the very first impressions were not reliable as such. One kiss leads to two, three, and then four… The mathematician could very easily lose count of the kisses, while the lady for the first time could find herself speechless.
