The Simple Truth is a suspense mystery thriller by David Baldacci. He is a tremendous author of mystery thrillers with countless compelling novels to his name. One of his better novels and a highly recommended one is The Camel Club. After this one, you will also enjoy listening to the audio version of his The Collectors novel.
Jonathan Marosz did the narration of The Simple Truth novel. It was an extremely dull and monotonous performance that frustrated the majority of the listeners of this book. David Baldacci this time is back with The Simple Truth. It is an intriguing story of a death row convict, a clerk of the Supreme Court, and a serious crime that was costing people their lives.
The story in this novel mainly revolves around the character of Michael Fiske. He was the one who broke the when he took the prison letter of Rufus Harm from the Supreme Court. But with that, he also sealed his fate. Then the brother of Michael who was a cop turned attorney was due to come to Washington. He wanted to discover why his brother got killed and also what all of this had to do with a crime that Rufus committed some 25 years ago.
The Simple Truth will be a story of romance, corruption, justice, and family which is set right at the core of the American republic. The author took his listeners on a journey of distressing conspiracy. If we simply talk about the plot of this novel then David Baldacci once again proved that he is one of the most playful and amazing thriller writers that we have. The narration of this book is a huge disappointment.
