The Sanguine Scroll

The Sanguine Scroll is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the seventh chapter in The Portal Wars Saga. The book is written by James E. Wisher. He is a writer of fantasy and science fiction novels. He has been writing decent stuff since high school and then took it as a full-time career soon. The Master of Magic is a very exciting novel that James E. Wisher has written. Another book by the author which is worthy of mentioning here is The Heart of Alchemy.

The audio narration of The Sanguine Scroll is done by Joe Hempel. It was a fairly decent performance which will help in connecting the listeners with the characters easily.

The Immortality Engine along with the Heart of Alchemy in place seemed to be complete. All that Otto required was to learn a lot more about using it. The Sanguine Scroll was the only place where the secret to immortality could ever be found.

The book could have been a lot better if it was shorter and smartly written. There are too many side characters in the novel which resulted in a lot of filler added to it. The ending of the book also seemed to be a lot rushed, even when the beginning of this story took its sweet time to get things rolling. At the end of this book and despite spending hours on it, you will feel that the story was incomplete. However, the current arch comes to an end here and there will be no romance for the MC.  The listeners want to have a lot more than that and it didn’t turn out to be satisfying for them.
