The Ministry for the Future is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is written by Kim Stanley Robinson. He is a prolific American writer of science fiction novels. He has so far written 22 novels and a good number of short stories as well. The Years of Rice and Salt is a prominent novel from the author and so is his The High Sierra.

The audio narration of this novel is done by a team of narrators which is led by Jenifer Fitzgerald and Fajer Al-Kaisi. The book has a huge cast and you will find the performance to be uneven. You will like it in some parts while not so much in the others.

This novel is considered to be a huge masterpiece of great imagination. It employed a fictional eyewitness account for the sake of telling how climate change would take its toll on all of us. The setting of this novel is not that one of a post-apocalyptic or desolate world. But, it is about the future which appeared to be just upon all of us. It is also a place where we could just overcome all of the extraordinary challenges that may come our way.

It is a book that touches on the topic of the impact of climate change. The story however was not that good to impress all the followers. The worst part is its narration which never went well at all. You will find this one to be in equal measure of being hopeful, desperate, impactful, and immediate. It was one of the most favorite books of President Obama from 2020 who is known for his great love for books.
