The Maze: An FBI Thriller, Book 2

String Killer is the name which is given to the serial killer in this novel. The killer starts killing women in a hideous way and the police start a detailed investigation to bring him down but it does not remain fruitful. Meanwhile, Lacey’s elder sister also gets killed and her dead body is found in a warehouse. The police are sure that the girl was also killed by the same serial killer.

It was a terrible thing for Lacey at that time of her life and it took her many years to get out of that emotion. After seven years, Lacey joined the FBI as an agent and she got Dillon as a partner who was a computer expert. Together the two made a good team and suddenly one day they were told that String Killer was back in town.

Lacey was determined to bring him down on this occasion and with the help of Dillon she remained successful too. After the arrest of the killer, there comes a well-disguised twist that the author Catherine Coulter has carved especially for her old fans. The String Killer admits all his crimes but according to him, he didn’t kill Lacey’s sister. The shock ways come just like they did in Reckoning.

Lacey finally realizes that her sister’s murder was never investigated in the right way and that the real killer might still be out there. Susan Ericksen picks speed in narration from here on. Lacey herself narrowly escapes an attack and she is sure that her sister’s killer is coming after her now. The Cove was quick in progress and this story also gets into second gear once the killer comes to the surface again.
