The Last Watch

The edge of the world is collapsing which means that the world is coming to an end. There is nothing that anyone can do about it and all are watching it with surprise. That’s what the people can do because they cannot fight the upcoming calamity, actually, no one can do it except the Sentinels and they have been thrown out of the place.

So the hopes of survival are getting dull and people are waiting for the day when the ultimate destruction will come to their doorstep. The author J.S. Dewes has described dark times at the start of the novel as everyone in the story becomes hopeless because of the situation. Then there comes a ray of hope in the form of Rake who is the commander of Argus.

She has been left with no allies or help of any kind and still, she wants to save the world with whatever she is left with. The exiled soldiers are with her and this is the group that was kicked out of the territory because of its worthlessness. Ironically the same group can do the impossible under the leadership of Rake. She is able to find the prince who destroyed the genetic facility built by his grandfather.

All the people think that the prince actually went wild or perhaps he was mad because of which he attacked the genetic facility with the nuclear bomb. The prince thinks that he has done the right thing because only he knew what his grandfather was actually doing to the world. The Exiled Fleet comes to the scene for the protection of the world which never needed it and paid no attention to its existence. Andrew Eiden and Nicol Zanzarella are the narrators hired for the book surely this book needed more than one narrator.
