Anita Blake has proved to be a survivor in all the previous parts and this war has become so personal for her that she is going to get to the one who is at the core. Kimberly Alexis’ narration has rightfully depicted the aggression which is there in Anita Blake’s character.

She does not want to contact her friends, she has decided to take the war back to the opponent and she will not rest until the money tag on her head is abolished forever along with the one who has put it on her. Initially, the story appears to be a race against time and it turns into an action-packed thing later on.
