The Hunt

The twisted Kingdom is full of a lot of surprises for everyone. Nothing is certain in this world where the creatures can change their shape and face at the same time. There is a smokescreen on the face of each and every character because of which it is difficult to recognize their true nature. Frost Kay introduces us to Tempest who has been blessed by Madrid apparently but her life is not a blessing rather she thinks of it as a deadly curse.

She has not been able to succeed in anything during her early life. Also, she has lost the love of her mother which she wants to retrieve at any rate. The king sends her to the Hounds who happen to be trained assassins working for the king.

There Tempest starts training hard to become the first female assassin in the land. She never wanted to do all of this but she was left with no choice. This training also prepared her to take revenge on those who took the love of her mother away from her. When the training was done, Tempest was asked to bring the heart of a villain who lives deep in the forest.

That deadly enemy known as the jester happens to be a shapeshifter so catching or killing him is not easy at all. Tempest has to show what she is capable of and if she fails in this mission then she would not be able to hold her head high again. The Rook and Rebel’s Blade have a strong plot just like this awesome story. There is no break at any place and this continuity is well kept by Cris Dukehart and Zachary Webber.
