Augustus Berry is the Mountain Man and we have seen him fighting unending battles in the series. He has not lost hope in any of the battles and the good thing about him is that he survives on every occasion. Whether it was monsters or zombies, he survived on every occasion. Surviving has remained his primary goal in war and one should not think of him as a coward because when he survives then it means that he is coming back to settle the score with his enemy.
Keith C. Blackmore has series such as Breeds, Book 1, and Breeds 2 for those who like some action and bloodshed in the stories. This belongs to the same category too but there is a difference in this part i.e this one is not a long novel. It is a short story that R.C. Bray has narrated in the form of this book.
This is the first short story in the series, the rest of the parts are long novels. The length of the book is short, the intensity however is the same without any doubt. The Mountain Man decides to go to the hospital which is located at the far corner of the town.
The man has been in search of supplies and this hunt takes him to the place where he should not have gone. The place happens to be a total chaos and going to the place means causing trouble for your own self. Berry didn’t know much about the place and it proved to be a house of horror for him. No going back becomes a problem because he has to settle the scores if he wants to return in one piece.
