The Honor of the Queen

War between two planets is just like war between two neighboring countries i.e it adds the rest of the neighbors in it. When war between Manticore and Republic of Haven started both of them were in need of allies. Grayson was right next to Manticore so it was the best option for a bonding. However an issue rose very quickly when the queen of the planet sent Honor Harrignton to Grayson as her representative.

On Grayson the women were considered as an insignificant being thus none of the women is ever given any rank or power in the history of the planet. In such situation presence of Honor was not bearable for the men of the planet and they didn’t agree to work with her.

Coordination was not possible between these two planets that have totally different customs related to women but they were forced to coexist because of the developing situation around them. If they don’t coordinate with each other then sooner or later both of them will face total destruction. Temporary bond gives Honor a chance to prove her worth in a society that is dominated by men.

Her performance will also prove the worth of the selection by the queen. Don’t ever forget that David Weber wrote On Basilisk Station and In Fury Born so if you are buying this one then do keep an eye on these other two masterpieces as well. Allyson Johnson faced some criticism on different levels regarding the narration of this novel but all those conspiracies against him were totally incorrect. The narrator has provided this novel with the best suited voice possible.
