The Hellion and the Highlander is a historical romance novel. It is the third book in the Highland Romance novel series which is authored by Lynsay Sands. She is a Canadian of historical and paranormal romance novels. She has more than 30 published novels to her name. her unique selling point as an author is the humour that she brings into her stories. Bad Luck Vampire is one of the most significant novels of the author and so is Vampires Are Forever.

The audio narration of The Hellion and the Highlander is done by Marianna Palka. She was a new narrator to many and her performance for the subject book has been awful.

There was only one man who could set her heart ablaze. Lady Averill learned the hard way to control her fierce temper as a very young girl. But if her father insisted upon parading her hard before another English lord who looked askance at her fiery-coloured hair, she would scream. Her only respite was the time she spent with Kade Stewart. He was the wounded Scot whom her brother brought home from the Crusades. Who could have been there to have imagined that a Highland warrior could be the only gentleman around?

Lady Averill helped in saving his life. Kade for that was truly grateful to her. She was also unbearably beautiful, but he could never subject such a gentle and sweet lady to the rough life of the bride of a Stewart laird, or could he? The time when she braes a highly unexpected danger by his side, Averill would prove to Kade that her heart was as fiery as her hair. Moreover, submitting to their intense passion would prove to be heaven indeed.

The book is loved for the twists and turns that the listeners would never see coming. There was also just enough intrigue and romance in this one. A must-listen!
