Two girls who happen to be the best of friends were taken on the same night from North Carolina. The girls belonged to the senior year which means that they were adults and forgetting the way back home was not an option in their case. The police started searching the woods because they were last seen in that place. No clues were found and the cause of the abduction was also unknown.

The police thought that the girls were abducted by a serial killer so there is a possibility that they were killed and their dead bodies were buried deep somewhere. After a long time, Megan who happens to be one of the abducted girls comes to the town after a hard struggle. Her friend Nicole never made it back and Megan was not able to tell anything about her friend.

Later Megan became famous because of her survivor instincts and she wrote a memoir too. Nicole’s sister who happens to be a forensic expert too was sure that her sister was killed that’s why she never made it. Then other girls start disappearing in this novel by Charlie Donlea. One of the dead bodies that were found by the police had a hint it was linked to Nicole. So Nicole’s sister goes back to Megan for help because she is sure that the girl hasn’t told everything about the incident.

Horrors of Some Choose Darkness and Don’t Believe It appear in front of the audience again. No one ever expected that the author would go to this level in thrillers. Surely the narrator Nina Alvamar has played her role but the writing actually matters in books of this category.
