The Duelist

The Duelist is a science fiction and fantasy book. It is written by Eric Vall. The author is quick time did some considerable work to make a comfortable place for himself in the literary writers’ fraternity. This is all thanks to the superb novels of Eric Vall where one of his best ones is Building Harem Town. If you go on and further try to dig other better novels from Eric Vall then The Alpha: Protect. Procreate. Prevail will pop up as one.

The narration is supposed to be the first impression of any audiobook. For this novel, the duo of Alex Perone and Marissa Parness have done well to make it a very pleasant experience for the listeners. If we do a critical analysis of this performance then Marissa Parness was far better than Alex Perone. Marissa felt like have far more voices and diversity in her emotions as compared to Alex.

The audiobook starts with the idea of dueling your enemy and then just simply killing him. Once you are through that then you need to take out all his assets and that also includes his wives as well which you will then treat as your own. Moving forward, you could then expand your estate and eventually become the most influential warrior mage that the world has ever come across.

The world-building in this book is very interesting. However, the MC at many times seems to be annoying. The author did well with the story writing but there was a lot of work that needed to be done in character development. One excellent thing about this book is its narration which will thoroughly mesmerize you.
