The Darkest Torment

The Darkest Torment is the 12^th chapter in the Lords of the Underworld novel series. This fantasy book is written by Gena Showalter. She is an American author of paranormal romance, contemporary romance, and young adult novels. She was only 27 when she sold her first written book and so far, she had given more than 70 novels where The Darkest Night is one of them. Another novel from the author which is worthy of mentioning here is The Warlord.

The audio narration of this chapter is done by Max Bellmore. The narration was top class and that added a lot of positivity to the story.

The story in this novel is of a fierce warrior who is right on the edge of sanity. He wouldn’t stop at anything for the sake of claiming the exquisite human with all the strong powers to calm the beast within him.

Baden was taken to his death by the Distrust demon and he spent several centuries in purgatory. He is back now but what is the cost for it?

He was bound with the underworld king who was a much darker force. He was not able to withstand any sort of touch from somebody else. He was devolving pretty quickly into an assassin who had no heart and an uncontrollable temper on top of that. Things got worse when a mission went twisted. He discovered himself completely saddled along with a bride, but she was just not his own.

This is a lovely book. You might find yourself laughing at a few odd things while there will be some seriously emotional moments as well. Gena has done it once again for her fans.
