The Darkest Pleasure is a paranormal contemporary romance fantasy novel. It is the third instalment in the Lords of the Underworld novel series. The book is written by Gena Showalter. She is an American author known for writing paranormal romance, contemporary romance, and young adult novels. She has so far published more than 70 books in her career where one of them being The Darkest Touch novel. Another worth mentioning book written by Gena Showalter is Alice in Zombieland.

The audio narration of The Darkest Pleasure novel is done by Max Bellmore. It was a great narration and everything was perfect about the performance. Reyes was possessed. He was bound by the demon of pain, and he was completely forbidden to know about pleasure. Yet, he always craved a mortal woman known as Danika Ford. And he wanted her more than the breath and was determined to do anything to claim her, even if it asks to defy the gods.

Danika at her end was on the run. She eluded for several months the Lords of the Underworld, the immortal warriors who wouldn’t rest until she and her family have been destroyed. But then, all of her dreams were haunted by Reyes, who was the warrior and she was not able to forget his searing touch. Still, having a future together could mean death to all they both consider dear. The story from here onwards gets really interesting and it is not to be missed out at all.

The book has superb characters and you will gush over the romance that would blossom here against all the odds. The Darkest Pleasure book is highly recommended.
