The Child Thief

Peter Pan is the kind of story that has not missed the eye of any child since the day it got published for the first time. The character in the story is so captivating that every child wants to be like him because he has all the powers and he uses them for good. The evil pirate wants to take over the land and Peter along with the Lost Boys saves the day every time. This was the story all of us listened to in the past and now Brom writes a tale of his own about Peter Pan.

The Peter of this story is not truly a hero because he performs some things which cannot be considered as decent. All of us listen to the story from the point of view of a little boy who runs away from home and decides to join Peter Pan on his quest. Though Peter lets him in the gang nothing goes according to expectations for the young recruit.

The missions are not of the comic type rather on many occasions the boy almost loses his life. Kirby Heyborne narrates the good and evil in the story in the same way because it remains undecided that whether Peter is a good boy or not.

Slewfoot and Lost Gods didn’t change any old legend, here the author has altered one of the favorite fairy tales in the world. It needed a lot of care as a weak story might have been rejected by the fans of the original tale. Peter is not presented as a villain but we can say that the author has tried to come up with a real picture.
