The Chance

Therese Plummer has narrated many novels but the voice of this iconic narrator suits Robyn Carr’s works more than anyone else. Robyn Carr has a habit of creating such places in the stories that have healing power. It is not love that the characters are always looking for initially rather they are looking for inner peace and the love comes as a bonus for them.

FBI agent Laine came to Thunder Point for a healing process because she had been shot during a mission after which she wasn’t hundred percent perfect physically. At first, she wasn’t quite familiar with the people of the town but when she saved a girl from a dangerous group of men, the people of the town accepted her and made her feel at home.

As her wounds are not healing very fast so she decides to stay at the place for a longer period of time. She was not the only one who was new at the place, there was also a man named Eric Gentry who has come to the place for the same purpose. The only difference between the two characters was their past. Eric Gentry has a dark past and now he was thinking of burying his past so that he can start a new life.

Eric wants to improve himself for his daughter and perhaps for Laine too but the two have to digest a lot in order to be together. The Homecoming could adorn your bookshelf too just like this one and Angel’s Peak would not prove to be a bad option at all. Love blossoms very quickly in these stories and the characters try to forget their past in order to cherish the present.
