The Blinding Knife

The Blinding Knife is the second chapter of the Lightbringer Saga. It is a science fiction and fantasy novel which is written by Brent Weeks. He is an American writer. The Way of Shadows was his debut novel which became a bestseller in New York Times in 2009. After that, all of the five books in the Lightbringer Saga became bestsellers as well in NYT where The Black Prism was the first one.

The audio narration of The Blinding Knife novel is done by Simon Vance. He gave a memorable performance and his performance suited the characters quite well.

All the powers Gavin were fading out quick and his end seemed to be near as well. War was raging all across the Satrapies and things were heated up.

Gavin was dying. He thought that he had some five years left with him. But he had less than one. There were more than 50,000 refugees there, a bastard son and as well as an ex-fiancee who might just have learned about his biggest and darkest secret. Gavin was having problems from almost every side. The magic in the world was all running wild. It was also threatening to destruct the Seven Satrapies. The old gods on the other side were being reborn and the army of those old gods was unstoppable. The only possible salvation, in that case, might be the brother whose life and freedom was stolen by Gavin some 16 years ago.

The book is very beautifully written and narrated exceptionally as well. The style of writing of the author is great so are the voice acting skills of the narrator. There was persistent background music which ruined everything.
