Spider is an elemental assassin who works for money and for personal goals too but that is not his everyday job. As a regular routine he works in a barbecue for money and for a good time too with the public. He has the power to listen about everything through the stones because this is the element he commands.

Perfect in both professions, the Spider was leading a very cool and calm life until his handler vanished and a few days later he was found dead. Spider is after the killer since then and he knows that it is none other than the Air elemental. The killer must be eradicated at all cost because he has gone to the limit after which showing mercy is the act of a coward. With Donovan Caine on his side he thought that the chances of winning were bright but the agent suddenly goes against him and the mission gets a serious twist. Jennifer Estep doesn’t try to give a very serious look to the series. There is a small place for comic gestures too which gives us a time to relax as well. [Spider’s Bite Audiobook]

If we look at A Sense of Danger and Sharpest Sting we will get the hint that Jennifer has always tried to keep the fictional stuff a little soft. Lauren Fortgang narrates it with a soft and pleasant voice in the scenes when the Spider is preparing the barbecue in a relax mood without the use of his powers.
