Soulbound

Soulbound is a romance and fantasy novel. It is the first installment in the Return of the Elves novel series which is written by Bethany Adams. She is a fine fantasy author who has got some impressive novels to her name. Ascent is one of her best one which is also a romance and fantasy novel and part of the Return of the Elves series. The author did quite well in her Solace novel which is also a romance and fantasy novel.

The narration of this novel is done by the duo of Gabrielle de Cuir and Stefan Rudnicki. The performance overall was quite disappointing. Stefan was just about OK while the main issue was with the flat performance of Gabrielle.

The quest of Arlyn was quite simple. It was all about finding her father and then give him the news that her mother is dead. Actually. Arlyn promised her dying mother that she would go for it. But there is a problem here. The people of her father are all legends and myths. He is not the one who doesn’t even live on Earth. But, even a long journey through all of that mysterious mists, locating him was the easiest of all the challenges.

Kai after 500 years has completely given up on discovering his soul bounded. When he came across Arlyn after making a return back from his last mission then Kai began their bond in a haste. But, he could have never imagined that bonded is the newfound daughter of his best friend. The story of this novel is quite good and so are the characters. The dual narration for this audiobook didn’t work and the performance turned out to be quite disappointing.
