Soldiers of Fortune

Soldiers of Fortune is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the second installment in the Omega Force novel series. The book is written by Joshua Dalzelle. He is an amazing writer who has also been the bestselling one for a few books of his. If one good book written by the writer has to be recommended apart from the subject title, then it has to be his No Quarter book. Another excellent book from  Joshua is To Hell and Back.

The audio narration of the book is done by Paul Heitsch. At best, this was an average performance. The narrator just didn’t feel like having enough voices for the different characters of the book. After the case of a tough rescue mission of a political dissident, the Omega Force was contracted to investigate a series of violent attacks. Those attacks were made on some civilian shipping lanes which were located within the galaxy of the star system, which was known as the Concordian Cluster.

It initially appears to be quite a simple job that had a big payday at the end. This was exactly what the disparate group of mercenaries needed to have their ship flying and also to stay a step ahead of all those who were trying to hunt them.

However, the more they go deep into the Cluster’s underworld, the more they would realize that they might be well over their heads. Captain Burke along with his crew started the race for uncovering the ones who were behind the attacks. This is an exciting book with an engaging story. The characters of Lucky and Crusher were everyone’s favorite. A better narration could have made this book a great one for the lovers of science fiction stories.
