The series with Mercy Thompson in it made Patricia Briggs famous a long time ago and since then there has been no decline in the fame of the author. The author introduced a shape-shifter named Mercy Thompson in this series and she has been constantly at war with vampires and humans at the same time. All she wants is to maintain a balance between the world of humans and vampires so that those she loves being able to live a peaceful life.

Till now in different parts, the audience has witnessed how Mercy has toiled to keep things going but she has managed to keep those close to her safe and sound. Night Broken and Silence Fallen are complete and detailed novels but not this one which comprises short stories. The book has four new stories and then there are a few of the old ones which became an instant hit at the time when they were published for the first time.

So this is a nice amalgam that one can find in this book and there is no need to listen to the entire book in one night. Just give yourself the time to enjoy the variety completely and you will be able to understand the development in the stories in a better way.

Mercy keeps on getting one mission and then the other and each of those missions seem to be more dangerous than the previous one. The old stories which are included in this book are not boring at all rather they are like a treasure for new listeners who haven’t touched those stories in the past.
