Creating a brand new world with the help of a pen is always difficult because the author has to keep all the details well carved. If any of the details is not according to the taste of the listener then the taste of the entire story is spoiled. This is the ninth book of the “New Species” series and there have been no dull scenes in it till now. Beauty, a female of rare talents is a Gift Species and that’s why she is not allowed to talk to any of the male members of society.

She has never met a man in her life and this has aroused curiosity in her mind. She was just dying for a relationship when Shadow accidentally pinned her. The Species officer didn’t know who she was and when he realized that he has caught the wrong lady he at once sprung back. This first meeting aroused the feeling of love and lust in Beauty and she psychologically goes wild after feeling the presence of a male so close to her.

Both of these characters spent most of their life in isolation so they cannot resist the temptation of a relationship now. However, the meaning of sex is different for both of them. For Shadow, it is a thing that will bring more frustration for him and for Beauty it is something which she wants to relish.

Laurann Dohner has done it again like in Justice: New Species, Book 4, and Cathian. The author keeps the spotlight on the main love birds that’s why the secondary characters are often ignored. Vanessa Chambers has also followed the technique of the author while narrating the story
