Secrets of the Sword 1 is the first book of Lindsay Buroker’s novel series and the seventh in Death Before Dragons. This urban fantasy romance novel is written by Lindsay Buroker. She writes high fantasy, steampunk, and other gripping adventures. The Blade’s Memory and Any Which Way are two of the best novels from the author. The audio narration of the subject title is done by Vivienne Leheny. She did a splendid job with the performance and made it look wonderful.

After aiding Zav, my steady dragon with all of his problems, I realized that life would soon be coming back to normal for me. Just as normal as it could be in the time when you were a hit woman responsible for hunting the bad guys. That was all for a weird artifact that showed up in a bog and converted my ancient sword into an enchanted beacon. My enemies than could sense it from many hundreds of miles away.

Fighting the opportunists most of the time is never a problem but I could handle so many attacks at a time. Zav wasn’t as much of a help at all as you would think, since he was mostly busy with his quest that was for a ring. That quest by no means was a Lord of the Rings type of quest. It was my boss who put that into the head of Zav since we were mated in the ways of the dragon. We should be married only in the human ways always…

This book comes with an outstandingly interesting storyline and the characters are magnificently written as well. With a top-quality narration, everything is perfect in this book.
