No doubt this is the seventh book of the series which has come out of the pen of C.M. Carney but the fans possess the same passion for it. With the passage of time, the love of the fans for the plot and characterization of the series has increased instead of decreasing. Some discussions about sex and other emotions of the type are there in the story so it is better to keep the book to a mature audience only. Usually, children are unable to understand such themes and the development of such emotions. Destruction and terror came to the realms long ago when the gods started sending war to them.

Gryph holds the key to everything because he can stop everything from happening. Problem is that Gryph is nowhere to be seen and the people are slowly becoming pessimists. They think that the gods will completely annihilate them. The group known as the Light has abducted Gryph and they want him to work with them so that they can destroy the invading gods.
