Queen of Shadows

Celaena was depicted as a superb assassin right from the beginning but her destiny was not known to us. We as listeners thought that she was picked for the competition randomly but now all of us know that the choice was not random. She was intentionally picked and now Celaena knows what she has to do for her kingdom.

After facing terrible circumstances, the girl is back in the empire and this time she has returned for vengeance and she is not going to spare anyone. The empire which she held dear once has been in a bad condition for a very long time. Those who thought that they had full control of the empire will be proved wrong eventually because Celaena is coming for all of them.

Celaena now knows that she is the Queen of Terrasen and she must get back her throne at all costs. Before going to her throne she must meet her cousin who is ready to die for her. Then there are other people who have been waiting in the dungeons for the return of the queen. They are in hope that the queen will come for them one day. Sarah J. Maas’ masterstroke is visible in Empire of Storms and A Court of Mist and Fury so it is highly recommended that the listener gives time to those books as well.

Elizabeth Evans’ narration is everywhere in this series so it is a voice that will keep on ringing in your ears in a melodious way. The rise of the girl out of the shadows can charm any fantasy lover of the modern era.
