Queen of Air and Darkness is a teen & young adult paranormal dark fantasy novel. It is the third instalment in The Dark Artifices novel series. The book is authored by Cassandra Clare. She is an American author of young adult novels and the bestselling The Mortal Instruments series is the best work of the author. Chain of Thorns is a good book by the author and so is The Last Hours novel.

The audio narration of Queen of Air and Darkness is done by James Marsters. He is truly a gem of a narrator and he made this audiobook so much more appealing to the listeners. What if the price for true love is damnation?

The innocent blood spilt over the steps of the Council Hall. It was meant to be a stronghold of the Shadowhunters. In the aftermath of the tragic death of Livia Blackthorn, the Clave teetered on the edge of civil war. One fragment there of the Blackthorn family then fleeing to Los Angeles while looking to find out the source of the disease that was destroying the race of the warlocks.

Julian and Emma in the meanwhile took several desperate measures to put their forbidden love aside and tale on a perilous mission. That mission to Faerie was meant to retrieve the much-needed Volume of the Dead. What they found instead was a secret that might tear Shadow World and open a dark path right into a future that they could have never imagined. The book was much better than the previous title in the series. Still, the racier scenarios and identity politics made it a bit harder to stay focused on the story.
