Penitent

Penitent is the second title in the Warhammer 40,000 novel series. It is a beautiful science fiction and fantasy novel which is written by Dan Abnett. Apart from excellent science fiction and fantasy writing, he is also known for writing some amazing comic books as well. Among his best literary books, you will find First and Only as one of his very best ones. Horus Rising is another inspiring book by Dan Abnett.

The audio narration of Penitent is done by Helen Keeley. She gave a masterful narration of the book and brought the story to life in ways that only a few others can match. In the Queen Mab mysterious city, the forces of darkness and light were all locked in a deadly kind of a scuffle to find the truth. The dedicated agents belonged to the Holy Inquisition war with the shadowy opponents who were the infamous Cognitae.

The need was to find out the encrypted identity of the resourceful King in Yellow. Elizabeth Bequin, the pariah was caught right at the core of this mighty struggle. So, will she be able to stand with the Inquisition or with the Cognitae who raised her? If she opts for the Inquisition then will it be the intelligent but brutal Ravenor the right option or will it be his rival? The rival was the denounced heretic Eisenhorn. Bequin must look forward to withstanding an onslaught of the daemons, angels, and also the mighty warriors who belonged to the Traitor Legions.

This is a typical Warhammer 40K universe story. You will love it for its plot and amazing storyline. The characters are quite special too and the narration was absolutely par excellence.
