Pain is a romance fantasy novel. It is the fifth installment in the Curse of the Gods novel series. The book is written by Jane Washington and coauthored by Jaymin Eve. Jane Washington is the bestselling author in Wall Street Journal. She has written several books with Jaymin Eve on the young adult, fantasy, romance, and new adult genres. One of their other successful books is Strength. Another good one from the authors’ duo is Persuasion. Both these recommended books are from the same Curse of the Gods novel series.

The narration of this book is done by Vanessa Moyen. It was not a good performance as the narrator was heard making several weird sounds while trying to unnecessarily lowering her voice a lot.

History sometimes is known to lie. The tales of Topia and Minastol in this regard are no different at all. Right since the birth of Topia, Staviti has woven a huge new web of lies and deceit. This web was surrounding the truth of creation. He was trying hard to maintain his very own power while destroying each and everything that gets in his way. Will along with the Abcurses now are determined to strip back the layers. The idea here was to find the truth and also to understand the exact nature of both worlds before it gets too late.

But, there was a problem there. There could be terrible repercussions for any wrong step which will be taken by them.

The book in comparison with the other novels of the subject series is not as good. It seemed to be a bit rushed, especially towards its end while making the characters appear to be overly awkward.
