Ones and Zeroes

Ones and Zeroes is a suspenseful young adult mystery thriller novel. It is the second book in the Mirador novel series which is authored by Dan Wells. He is known for writing horror fiction, science fiction, and mystery thriller novels. I Am Not a Serial Killer is his best book which in 2016 was also adapted into a movie. The Devil’s Only Friend is another beautiful title that Dan Wells has authored with so much passion.

The audio narration of Ones and Zeroes is done by Roxanne Hernandez. This was a very controlled and solid performance. You will enjoy this one.

The story of this novel started with the character of Marisa Carneseca. She was on the desperate hunt for a mysterious kind of hacker. His name was Grendel. Marisa received the confirmation that the Otherworld team was invited to forward the Motion. It was believed to be one of the most fantastic and exclusive tournaments of the year. This for Marisa could mean anything. It could well be a chance for her to go pro finally and at the same time to her family as well. Marisa was stuck on the wrong side of the bifurcation between the rich and poor in the LA neighborhood. However, the Forward Motion turned out to be a lot more mysterious and different than what it appeared to be. There was a lot of infighting and danger. The Forward Motion was also full of corruption.

Many of the actual adults found this book a bit too juvenile for their liking and preferences. This is a book that will be loved by the younger audience with its fantastic and gripping ory.
