Old Man’s War

Old Man’s War is a science fiction and fantasy book. It is the first entry in the Old Man’s War novel series. The book is done by John Scalzi. He is an American author with excellent books given in the science fiction & fantasy genre where one of which is The Kaiju Preservation Society. Another book of the author worthy of sharing here is The Ghost Brigades.

The audio narration of the Old Man’s War is done by William Dufris. He did a stunning job and offered a huge range of distinct voices as well.

There were a couple of things that John Perry did on his 75^th birthday. The first one was that he visited the grave of his wife and the second was that he joined the army.

The good news there was that humanity was eventually able to make it into interstellar space. But there was also bad news and that was about the scarcity of planets that were fit to live on. There were alien races that were looking to fight us for such planets. So, we had no choice but to fight and defend the planet Earth, and also for taking our very own claim to the planetary real estate. The war started far from the planet Earth and it continued for decades. The Earth on the other side was also struggling to be a backwater and the majority of the human resources were under the control of the Colonial Defense Force.

John Scalzi is known for his amazing and unique writing style that comes with the ideal combo of cynicism and dryness which resonate with the preferences of a lot of readers and listeners.
