Haven has powers and this is not a new thing, she knows that she has powers right from her birth but she cannot use those powers because they are forbidden. In such a case experimenting with magic is not a good idea as it can ruin your life. Haven was in danger when the Prince saved her life and she decided to protect the prince later on by becoming a member of his royal guard. One night the prince was abducted by a dark queen and it becomes Haven’s duty to bring back the young prince in one piece.

She established a band with the immortals and starts looking for the prince. Among those soldiers, there was Archeron who was charming and appealing at the same time. Haven started getting closer to him even when she knows that there are more serious things on the line but she thought that she cannot control her emotions.

When they reach the den of the queen they realize that they have to break the curse if they want to free the prince. Haven’s magic of light and dark can help them but it is forbidden and if she uses it, she would lose her spirit forever. Audrey Grey writes quite beautifully at this point as the heroine prepares herself for the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of her loved ones.

Vanessa Moyen’s voice as the narrator of the story is no surprise because she is famous for the narration of such stories. Evermore Academy: Spring is a long series and Curse Breaker also needs some background information. This story on the other hand is specially made for all those who want to listen to a complete storybook.
