Angel is living the worst life ever. She’s living in the swamps of southern Louisiana. She has her alcoholic deadbeat father as a company. Dropped out of high school, she has also developed a pill habit, not to mention a criminal record. She’s been shown the door on numerous jobs. Currently, she is on probation for a felony. Life doesn’t seem to be getting better, yet it is getting worse in a downwards spiral.

Everything changes when she wakes up in the hospital one day. She had overdosed on some painkillers. She vaguely remembers being in a car crash, however, has no marks or injuries on her. Furthermore, she receives an anonymous letter for a job opportunity, one that she can’t dare turn down.

In no time, she’s dealing with new problems. She has a crush on a certain deputy. She also has a new addiction – a craving for brains. To add insult to injury, the morgue where she started work keeps filling up with a certain serial killer’s victims. Angel has to become mature fast enough so that she can bravely tackle the calamity that she is to face next.
