Mortis

Mortis is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the fifth chapter in Siege of Terra: The Horus Heresy novel series. It is written by John French. He has written many Horus Heresy stories which became his identification. The Solar War is one of them which you will find to be very interesting. Servants of the Inquisition is another masterpiece from John French.

The audio narration of Mortis novel is done by Jonathan Keeble. He performed his heart out to make this one an easy and interesting listen for the audience. After several victories, the Imperial forces were right on the back foot for one more time. The power of Chaos was soaring while the Traitors got hold of the ground. All hope seemed to be lost. Will it be possible for Terra to endure?

All the victories that belonged to Saturnine and all the sacrifices of the Eternity Wall port in the space had faded into oblivion. The Traitors were undefeated by denied. Their assault was intensified over the Imperial Palace. The Warmaster had the spaceports within the grasp of Horus and then the heavens of the reserves got drained.

Just as the pressure started to build up, all the power of Chaos polished as well. The lives of all the defenders were dominated with despair while their dream had them in search of some false paradise. This book in comparison with the early chapters of the series is not so good. The story was weak and the character development was all over the place. If you are following this series from scratch then this chapter will be a disappointment, but still, you will be trying out this one for sure.
