Marked by Power is the opening chapter of The Marked Series. The book is a romance fantasy novel which is written by Cece Rose and coauthored by G. Bailey. They both are young and dynamic authors of romance and fantasy novels. G. Bailey has gone the extra mile with her writing and became the bestselling author in USA Today and also internationally. The authors’ duo has collaborated for another exciting romance and fantasy novel which is titled Marked by Pain.
The audio narration of this novel is done by Billie Fulford-Brown, Jack Hawkins, Joe Jameson, Leon Williams, Ewan Goddard, and Joshua Akehurst. The narrator made the characters sounded just like kids when they should be as young adults. The 17th birthday of Mackenzie was just around the corner. She was planning to spend the next few years at the school for the sake of marked learning. This was for her all-new magical powers and then she wishes to leave for living her usual life. But, nothing went as planned especially after she attended the marking ceremony and all of the 12 different marks appeared.
Kenzie is the one living in a world where being marked with six of the different powers is considered to be a very much normal thing. The rare thing is to be marked with seven or more powers. But, what about being marked with twelve? That is something unheard of.
Kenzie cannot afford to fall for her extremely sexy teacher and this was the last thing she needed to worry about. The premise of Marked by Power is quite interesting but the characters failed to impress that much. The story is not too long and it ends at a major cliffhanger.
