Lord of the Fading Lands is the first chapter of the Tairen Soul novel series. The paranormal romance book is written by C. L. Wilson. She is the bestselling American author of cross-genre novels, specifically paranormal romance and high fantasy books. Queen of Song and Souls is one of her best novels. Another good novel from the author to mention here is The Winter King. The audio narration of Lord of the Fading Lands novel is done by Abby Craden. The narration was a big miss and the listeners with the flat performance were quite annoyed.

The book tells the story of Ellysetta, a girl who with time would become the queen known as the Tairen Soul. Their eternal battle for the sake of true love is what you will find within the enchanting Fading Lands. Once he managed to drive back right through the darkness. Once he loved a lot with so much passion, that his given name was a legend.

Once driven far and wild with immense grief over the murder of his adored, the enchanting Fey King Rain Soul laid waste to the world ahead of disappearing into the different Fading Lands.

After a thousand years later then, there was a new threat that drew him once again back into the world. That was the time when a completely new love reawakened the heart that he always thought to be long-dead. Ellysetta was the daughter of a woodcarver who called Rain in a peculiar way that nobody else had ever done before. Enchanting and mysterious, her soul beckoned him with a seductive and compelling song. No matter, whatever the cost, the wildness within the blood would never be denied at all. This is a wonderful book with an excellent story and characters. However, the narration by Abby was quite disappointing.
