King and Maxwell is a mystery thriller novel. it is the sixth chapter in King and Maxwell novel series which is authored by David Baldacci. He is a reliable name in writing mystery thrillers and suspense novels. His The 6:20 Man novel is a testament to his superb writing abilities. You will have an excellent literary sitting with his Memory Man novel as well.

The audio narration of the King and Maxwell novel is done by Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy. As compared to the previous installments in the series, this is a much-improved performance. But, the sound effects used in the book were distracting.

It appeared to be a tragic story at first. A teenage boy named Tyler Wingo learned the painful news that his father who was a soldier got killed in Afghanistan. After that, something extraordinary happened – Tyler received a message from his father, and that was after his supposed death.

Sean and Michelle, the ex-Secret Service agents and currently private investigators were hired by Tyler to solve the mystery that was surrounding his father. But their investigation led to several more troubling and deeper questions. Is there a possibility that Tyler’s father could still be alive? On which exact mission he was deployed to Afghanistan? Is it possible for Tyler to be the next target? You will be surprised to find the answers.

The private investigators were quick to realize that they had stumbled on something huge that was believed to be more treacherous than what they could have ever imagined.

This is another compelling story from Baldacci. It will keep you guessing at every turning point of the story what will happen next.
