I’m Glad You’re Dead

The title of the novel is quite amazing by all means because the words are appealing and you don’t expect such lines to be used on the title page. Hunter Blain brings forward an ordinary guy who watches through the prison cell as his parents get slaughtered at the hands of his enemies. John Cook was next on the list but he gets an offer that he wasn’t able to resist. He is asked to change his diet a little after which he would be given a chance to live forever and the power to avenge the death of his parents.
The deed gets signed at once and though John Cook is given the chance to read the entire text he does not bother to study the entire thing. After a span of five hundred years, John gets the chance to avenge the death of his parents. After that, he meets Father Thomes who tells him the way to live the life of a hero. Together the two start working like the guys we usually observe in the movies.
They hit their targets with superb accuracy after which they start feeling the satisfaction that they were looking for. Soon the plans get shattered when the end of the world approaches their doorstep. John Cook is finally told that it is he who will open the doors of damnation for the human race.
Crack the Sky and Dawn and Quartered will engage an equal amount of listeners if given proper time. The expertise of Luke Daniels is seen in the narration of this book once again. John Cook’s emergence as a vampire is not described in a scary way in the novel rather the character possesses a comic approach.
