Hopeless

There is an important question that the author comes up with in this story which it is better to live on lies rather than getting to the truth which brings negativity. Sometimes truth brings nothing to us except negative thoughts and feelings which make our life miserable. So knowing the truth in such a case is not the right idea as one can go along with a few lies if they are not going to break the heart later on.

The sky was a senior high school girl when she met Dean Holder for the first time in her life. The sky was feeling really dejected in those days and she thought that she would not be needing any kind of help from anyone else. Dean was the one who had nothing in common with Sky but he was attracting her toward him all the time. Perhaps this was not intentional at all but Sky was losing control of herself and she was aware that he would shatter her defenses very soon.

The girl was actually hiding certain secrets which she didn’t want to reveal because she had been able to bury those secrets with quite a lot of difficulty. Dean was also with some secrets which he hadn’t told anyone but he was rather brave as compared to Sky that’s why he wasn’t backing down from a new chance in his life. Talking about new concepts in literature, Colleen Hoover always comes with the latest on every occasion.

Angela Goethals was not there in This Girl: A Novel and still the narration has the same quality which is a big achievement by the narrator. November 9 is another story in which the two lovers understand their love quite later in life. At that stage, even the secrets which they wanted to reveal didn’t have any impact on their relationship because they had so much trust in their love.
