Her Commanders is a science fiction romance fantasy novel. The book is written by M.K. Eidem who is the bestselling author on Amazon and USA Today. Science fiction romance fantasy novels are what the author is mainly known for. If you have time then Cassandra’s Challenge and Victoria’s Challenge are two of her best novels that you must try.

The audio narration of Her Commanders novel is done by Ian Gordon and Jennifer Gill. The narration was above average and just at the acceptable level. The major issue was that the narrator was kind of speaking too slowly and sounded quite down on energy levels. Cali spent all of her life hiding almost everything from everyone that she truly was. That even included her own family. Love was not something that she believed in ever. She had experienced the harm that emotions could cause in the relationship of her parents. And, she decided not to be a part of it.

Jamis Dexxirs, the Star Base Commander along with Taarig Ynn, and his Sub Commander were all well known for the excellent attitudes that they had towards not only females but towards their sexual preferences as well. They were Ape which was one of the most resourceful and long-living creatures ever to have lived in the universe. So why would one settle down with one female only when there was a lot to choose from?

The storyline of the book is unique and interesting. The character of Cali is of a strong woman which the listeners will surely enjoy. The narration will sound much better if you speed it up to 1.3x. With this fix, the audiobook overall will be worth a listen.
